DALLAS, TX — March 12, 2025 —
After five years of facing a bond, an eight-day trial, and intense legal proceedings, Swinetta Marsh, 42, has received an outcome that her legal team considers a second chance at life. Marsh was initially charged with intoxication manslaughter for a tragic incident in which she struck and killed a pedestrian in the Uptown area of Dallas.
The pedestrian, who was illegally in the crosswalk, was tragically killed when Marsh, driving a slingshot, accidentally hit the individual on Sunday afternoon, not knowing the person was in her path. After the crash, Marsh continued driving and was involved in another accident a few blocks down. At the time, she had been out celebrating her birthday, unaware of the accident she had caused.
Despite facing serious charges and the state’s request for 10 years of hard prison time, Marsh’s legal team, led by The Wilkerson & Campbell Firm, PLLC, worked relentlessly to defend her. They successfully argued that Marsh had no malicious intent and believed that what happened could have happened to anyone. Marsh, who had never spent a night in jail before and had no criminal history, only wanted a second chance at life.
In an emotional turn of events, the jury believed in Marsh’s case and granted her eight years of probation, with 120 days of county time to be served as a condition of her probation. By July, Marsh is expected to be reunited with her family.

A Victory for Second Chances
“We believe in second chances,” said her attorney, Andrew Wilkerson. “This case was about a woman who made a tragic mistake but had no malicious intent. We are grateful to the jury for recognizing that she deserves a chance to rebuild her life.”
Marsh’s legal team is calling this a victory not just for her, but for the belief in second chances—something they are passionate about. The team even humbly coined the phrase “The Second Chance Boys” as a testament to their success in securing another shot at a normal life for their client. As the team is already known as “The Not Guilty Boyz” from their popular podcast, this new slogan reflects their ongoing commitment to fighting for justice and providing clients with the opportunity to move forward with their lives.
